I read an article in the Digital Camera World asking why hasn't a camera company provided film recipes based on Kodak's extensive film stock?
Fujifilm has the X100VI which has at least 20 film simulations based on Fujifilm's film stock and currently all of their mirrorless cameras have at least a half dozen or more Fujifilm film simulations preloaded.
I get that photo editing software provides the functionality of adding any film simulation you have in mind however wouldn't it be better if the most popular of them were preloaded into the current production of Canon, Nikon, etc. mirrorless digital cameras?
Personally I believe that having a these film simulations preloaded on a Canon camera and I'd be happy to pay $$$$.
The last thing I want is for digital to look like archaic film technology, but I do understand the desire for neuralgia some people have.
Have you tried the NIK Collection that makes digital files look like film? https://nikcollection.dxo.com/
