We visited the museum on my recent trip to visit my daughter and her family. By far the most amazing collection I've ever seen. Pretty overwhelming. Photographing cars is not really my thing and we had a very excited four year old in tow so I managed to grab whatever I could and thought someone here might see something they like. Beautiful classic cars! What a collection here! I still love the olde classics. These are great despite the light conditions!

Hey Dan. I knew these were never going to be works of art All but the first were taken in an area called "The Vault". It houses an absolutely fantastic collection but is basically a converted parking garage below the actual museum so the lighting is what it is. Twelve photos is not nearly enough to show the entire collection but I hoped someone would find it interesting. Appreciate you taking a moment to comment !

Actually Gary, these are fine images considering the "lighting fiasco". There is really no harsh conflicts here.
Again well done!

Nicely done. Quite a collection. I need to visit. A frighteningly long time ago, I worked a few blocks away on Wilshire before this museum was here.
For potential L.A. visitors, this a hotspot! The museum building is quite the architectural wonderwork on it's own Also it's across the street from the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, L.A. County Museum of Art, and the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum and a short distance from several other traditional touristy spots.

Thanks for filling in the info Craig, appreciated. I was blown away by the magnitude of this collection. As I said, it was overwhelming to see so much in one space. They do charge extra to get into "The Vault"
Thanks very much Kent (I think I have that right ?) Appreciate you taking a moment to comment.
Just going by my shallow knowledge of cars I'd say that's an early 70's Plymouth Barracuda. Could be wrong. I do remember when the Barracuda first came out my mom was due for her new Oldsmobile that she always drove and I tried desperately for her to get a Barracuda I had my four year old grandson with me who's crazy about cars so these were literally snapshots. If I had more time I would have liked to have documented makes and models to go along with the shots I did get.
