A very famous alpine rock climbing mecca, overcrowded in July & August. Now it's a super popular 1-3 day hike/backpack as part of a loop that goes over the next pass to the north (or the other way around). Fortunately, most people have cleared out by this time of year (rifle hunting season for elk).
Nice work Monica - those clouds demanded B&W and you delivered. I recognize that boulder that we played around on 45 years ago (when it wasn't quite as crowded)

Thanks, Brent! The trails are actually quite good there: when the "officia"l trails stop, then there are climber trails which are almost as good, and there are always animal tracks which are not so good, but still provide passage through the bushes. Being one of those whose ankles could turn on a dime, I watch my step very carefully ;-)

Thanks, Jim. It's pretty quiet in late September. I was camped just behind that boulder, so that slab was my patio to lounge on. I was tempted to add a little figure in green shorts & blue EBs running along the rim for you.........
Nice image. B&W is so good for texture. If I were to add anything, I think I would like to see greater emphasis on the lighter areas to accentuate them more. Maybe add a lighter curves/levels layer with a mask or select lights layer to accomplish this - obviously try to keep it subtle yet add more contrast between grey dark areas and lighter. Also a touch of greater detail in the dark trees would be helpful as well. But again, really nice photo.

Love this image. And I like how it brings me back good memories of about 50 years when I camped near there meeting some friends from Seattle to do a bit of climbing. Thank you !
