p.1 #1 · Great Blue Heron Landing

Took a break from FM and lost track of time. I am thinking it is time to come back. This was my first location test of the new Nikon 28-400mm lens, in early 2025. Just getting too old and carrying around my 200-500 mm was difficult. Can't manage two cameras but often want to photograph the wetlands themselves, as they can be quite beautiful with the right light. So made the switch and doing alright with it. It does get a bit soft a 340mm and more but not bad.

Welcome back. I like Morris picks, only for a little more eye contact.

John and Morris,
Accurate observation, until posting, didn't realize that the upper photos would look weak and small. Previously had only seen them as prints on 13x19" paper. Oh well, live and learn!
