Jonathan is my wife's guitar teacher, a virtuoso guitarist, recently hired by my wife to tutor her in an instrument she loves but hadn't played for many years. Jonathan was giving a recital in a coffee bar in Brooklyn. My wife and I had never seen him perform professionally and were curious to see and hear him in person. What a pleasure to listen to him play his jazzy interpretations of popular well known songs.
Steve these are fantastic! Both and for different reasons. I was a "guest" at 52W 8th St in the Village and also the Brill Bldg and Cafe Wha? as a musician "back in the day".
His hands were the first thing I noticed! They have much character and his fingers are long and nimble. His focus is intense. I like that!
Glad Candy is reviving her talent!
Again SUPER images! Sharp, crisp lines and just super tones and color!
Dan
PS you ever get by the stretch of West 8th Street known as Jimi Hendrix Way, I would greatly appreciate a photo.

Thanks so much Dan for your comments. I'll send you a photo of West 8th Street next time I'm there, which is frequently. It's changed greatly over the years. There were once a few bookstores, many shoe stores, fast food joints, many gone (Orange Julius for one), replaced by others. Electric Lady Studios is still there where Jimmy Hendrix recorded. They've torn down some single story buildings and replaced them with multistory apartment buildings. That's the way this city is, always changing.
I am very familiar with the areas as I frequented them many times, professionally and socially in my post military youth.. as a release.
Again super compositions and on my 30" calibrated even more intimate.

Good photography, Steve, is she learning the Classical style?
Douglas
Not classical Douglas. She enjoys playing popular songs, mostly strumming cords and singing, songs from the Beatles, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, etc. My wife writes for AARP Magazine and she just published an article there about taking up an instrument as a senior and the pleasure and enjoyment that it brings.
