It was a showery, blustery (typical of our trip) day as we drove out on F347 from Kerlingarfjoll Highland Base. Many stops along the way to capture the drama, not much traffic on this good dirt road.
Reminds me of why I learned to shoot in the rain in Iceland!
You will be totally spoiled for waterfalls after this trip.
Can you emphasize whites just a tad in #3's midground? And maybe a little more detail in #4 midground?
Nice job all around.
Great series, Jim. The vastness of that land really shines through in your images. I'm on the same page with Douglas about the 2nd and 5th images--especially the 2nd.

Thanks for all the comments guys. We just got home late last night from our 3 week trip. It was one of the best ever - perhaps the most spectacular wild landscape I have ever traveled through, waterfall overload! Of course I will be posting more later, and writing up a few photography/trip take aways.
I will look back at those shots Monica, but have so many more I haven't even viewed on the computer yet! Thanks for the input.
Rajan, I thought of you when ever I saw a chopper, although that was rare given our weather.
Really cool, I agree with you when you say wild and spectacular. I feel like the country has almost every type of eco system and landscape. It was like sensory overload when I was there. From waterfalls to greenery to glaciers to moonscapes and ultimately unworldly rock formations, it's crazy. Cant wait to see all that you photographed.
