On a very hot day in Badlands NP we had lunch on a high plane with a fantastic view. This meadowlark came right up to our table and found crumbs under the table left by others. It had no fear of people and walked over my wife's foot on the way to it's meal. To take the last photo I had to backup to focus and rotate to vertical to fit it in the frame.

I have been hoping to get images of the Eastern Meadowlark but they are not seen often.
You have been gifted with one (Western) that came to you! That bg coloring works so very well, great presentation on these Morris, really beautiful images and bird
