I was at the pond and this BH decided to invade the space of the other, 1st time I experienced that behavior. I had a little to much glass but still able to capture the action.

Good captures Chris. That is when a zoom's versatility beats a prime.

Makes you wonder why they don't use their beaks against bald eagles that take away their young from the nest.

Wow is right! Great action set! Love the incoming part of the attack before the feathers fly.

That looks like something that has been brewing a while. Birds have long memories, and that ruckus might have been the result of an ongoing rivalry.

I can�t recall ever seeing two GBH�s fight. GBH�s are serious *solitary* hunters. Though I've no way of knowing, my guess is the one on the bottom blundered into the space the one on top claimed as its own.
