Been a while, but finally the stars aligned with some free time at the same time the rain stopped long enough for me to go out...

I always thought the "fringe" on the trailing edge of a skipper's wing was kind of neat.

It's hip to bee square, sometimes, when the mood strikes. Probably from years of shooting medium format, I just got used to it and sometimes find it fits the occasion.

Nice use of the 200-600 tool Eric, still amazes me how versatile it is for work like this!
Buddy you nailed that first one, excellent image
Nice handling of these files in that harsh light, you held the color nicely in the florals Great detail in you buzzer subject, #'s 5 and 6 are wonderful.

Thank you kindly Karl! Yeah, I came to Sony for that lens initially, and it still impresses me even though some feel it needs a refresh. As much as I love that lens, I tend to agree in one way because Sony has spoiled us with all the newer MKII versions of their lenses being lighter, faster & sharper, so who wouldn't want that? heh heh. The $64K question is, was the 400-800mm supposed to be that refresh? I hope not... I'd like something lighter, not heavier.
Yeah, thanks, in Florida you learn to love the light and work with it, because you are going to get a lot of it down here in the Sunshine State. It takes a bit of forethought to keep everything from blowing out. You should see my RAW's. At first glance most people would think they are nightscapes.

Excellent set Eric!! Love seeing the Mexican Sunflowers , they attract so many lovely pollinators.

Thanks Birdie, they are more active than my Penta's and Lantana's, which is weird, but I guess the scent they give off is more attractive for them, or there is just more quantity in the larger bloom. I have some hibiscus they seem to like those as well. Still no hummers, but the butterflies and bees are ever present.
