I find myself with a free week (9/22-9/29) and a hankering for a plane ticket and a new experience.... looking to do a landscape photography workshop or hire a guide. I'm on the east coast in NY - thinking about something like Glacier National Park or Acadia or something where I might start to see some fall colors. Any recommendations of a particular location and guide or workshop that I can look into would be appreciated!!!

I’m not exaclty an expert on Maine, but I think that’s a bit early for good color there, at least based on a bit off experience in other New England states.
You’d likely see some fall color by then in the right places in parts of Utah and Colorado, I believe.

Glacier National Park is beautiful that time of year and generally most things are still open. You don't really need a guide to find plenty of good locations.
Of course it is Montana and bad weather can come at any time. This time of year it only usually affects a couple of days.

Hi Dan!
My brother lives off the Coast of Maine(Rockland) on the island of Vinalhaven. I just called him and the leaves are de-greening but no color yet.
The crowds are gone and peace has returned to the Island.
I found this website on Acadia: https://bridgetstephenson.com/acadia-national-park-fall-foliage/
The photos posted here by "adventurephoto"@Scott show Colorado in color! Beautiful!!
"Go West young man..."Horace Greely.
My sister-in-law lives in Wyoming near the Tetons and she sez the color is starting there also.
Have a GREAT trip and get those photos posted upon your return!"
