So, I was recently exploring the Dolomites in Italy (for the first time)! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking - towering peaks, emerald meadows, and light that seemed to change by the minute.
I took plenty of landscape shots, though I had to weave my way through summer crowds and the occasional traffic jam to get to the best spots. Still, it was totally worth it for the views and moments I captured.
Next year, I’ll be running my Dolomites photography workshop there, but in the fall with fewer crowds, crisp air, and of course, the stunning autumn colors.
Here are few of my so far processed shots. The last one with the fern could've been taken anywhere, right? Well, it's still from Dolomites. I shot it while waiting for sunset at one of the locations....

Beautiful, Gregg, did you happen to hear any sounds of music there?

I did. Lots of German drinking beer up in those Refugios. But they are all awesome ppl. They saw me hiking tired, and they just gave me a lift up the hill. So that was very nice of them. They talked to me in German, but I didn't know what they said since I don't speak German, not a word. And, they didn't speak English . Imaging a conversation like that
The contrast of the lush, pastoral rolling hills against the rugged limestone peaks in the 1st 2 is really striking. And I love the last one with the little bloom in the middle of the ferns.
I realize the mountains should be the star of the show, but for me it’s that image of flower among ferns that grabs my heart! That will surely be a great workshop, Gregg.
