I have been to Japan many many many times and visited bic camera quite few times. I have always thought their pricing was not really cheaper than my home country Singapore.
This time round it’s different. I found a 7% off voucher in my hotel , jr gate Nagoya , which has a bic camera in the same building. In the shop itself, the public speakers were advertising another 5% off for visa payment. So with 10% tax rebate, I paid 334k yen for the 35mm f1.2.
It applies to many Nikon lens too like the 14-24mm and all of them are pretty cheap.
Sony, canon stuff are not cheaper though, just Nikon.
