My Fuji X-E5 arrived today. And as you can tell by the title
Turned the camera on, went through the initial setup, put my eye to the EVF, and nothing. I was able to go into the menu and set the camera to EVF only, and the EVF turned on. BUT extremely laggy.
Came with FW 1.10.
Am I alone with this issue? Obviously it's going back.
The default setting of the Fn2 button, which is the button in the middle of the front toggle switch, cycles through the various EVF/LCD settings. This is called the 'View Mode Setting.' See page 340 of the user's manual.

The FN2 button simply cycles through the menu options I used to verify that the EVF works, albeit laggy as it is. It would have been easier to do that if I had remembered that was the default.
Sorry to hear about that, mine came in this past Saturday and went through the initial set up as well. While I dot not have any issues with the EVF/LCD function, I did come across some glitchy items which made me reset the camera to factory settings and started all over. Once I did that, the camera started working flawlessly. Mine also came with Firmware 1.10.
Hope you are able to solve it.
Kenmore Camera sent me a replacement, and even shipped the new one once UPS had my return in hand. Replacement works great, no issues, and great customer service from Kenmore.
