p.1 #1 · Male Goldfinch

When I parked my car to go to Kissena Park, I spotted these goldfinch enjoying some sunflower seeds in someone's garden. I set up and had fun photographing them before heading to the park.

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Morris

Just beautiful Morris! My coneflowers have gone to seed and that brings these beautiful birds pecking for the seeds! They are a true delight!
Great detail and color!

1 and 5 are my winners from this vibrant set Morris, and of those two, 5 if I had to pick just one.

The Baltimore Oriole is Maryland's State bird but I have only seen 1 in my 70 years here.

Wonderful photographs of a beautiful bird, Morris. #1 and #6 are definitely my preferred shots. Here where I shoot in the Dundas Urquhart Butterfly Garden the Goldfinch and Chipmunks compete for the Coneflower seed pods.

I used to see many Baltimore Orioles yet they have become rather scarce in NYC. The Orchard Oriole is much more common.

Thank you,

We don't have chipmunks to disturb the gold finches

Thank you Bob,

I went out looking for them when you asked about them a couple of weeks ago.
