Hi,
I am trying to get online for Sony Pro Support where I have an account. It is locking up. Have tried different options for the past 1/2 hour. Did send and email.
Trying to send an A1 to NJ support for a full cleaning before I sell it.
Anyone else having trouble getting on the Sony Pro Support site?
Yes. They’re in the process of transitioning websites. I had to send an email to Sony Pro asking for help. They sent me links for new login IDs for my account.

Thanks, I did not know they were in transition. Will wait on the email response.

i don't recommend sent them in just for doing a full cleaning before selling. Unless your sensor is really dirty. Don't mess with it.
Understand, it is not the cleaning why I am sending it in. The exposure compensation button is sticking and I prefer to have everything working perfectly before selling.
It is packed up and going out today with their FedEx label. It is only going to CT and I am in RI so I might have it back by Friday.
They did respond by email, which I was happy with on a holiday.
I used them so many times and had no problems and great communication. (precision subbed service)
This time.
yep here are two other issues neither of which I had experienced. One of which was a "soft dial" never had an issue with the dial or it feeling different than my other two sony cams.
Very disheartening I used to trust them but not so much now

Thanks for the input, I hope that is not the case.

That was my experience, the first and only time I used them. I have an original A9 I would like to send to have cleaned, but I won't now. I was told that if they find something that isn't right and I don't let them repair it, they charge a fee for the diagnosis. I'm not repairing anything on an A9 when it works fine.
I know a few people that had "optical glass" replacement suggested. All of a sudden there was a spot in front of the sensor that could not be cleaned. I think it's around a $400 repair.
Well I had the estimate sent, and a call from the person who did the estimate. They checked the whole camera and said everything was fine except the exposure compensation button. To fix the button by adding a new one involved taking the camera apart, and the cost is $790. I went ahead with that very high price since I want it fixed, so I have a great working camera to sell.
When I asked why the price was so high, I was told it is hard to get at the button to replace it. OK, how long will it take? It would be a fast fix, hum. Moving on.

Yup they said that about my button..... I said no to that repair.... it was seated just slightly off the click and when i gave it the most gentle twist it fell right in place and button works just fine locks unlocks etc. They really are pushing this repair. I can replicate the issue on my A1 and A7cii its not stuck.
I gave them a negative survey with request to be called.... no call so far

Thanks for letting me know you had the same problem. I could make it work the same way you described. But since I am selling it I did not want to have the new owner not happy with the button.
It is very annoying the cost, and that is a 20% discount for Pro. I will not use or recommend them in the future. For a lot of years I have never hear good things about the business. In the past I always went to NJ with my XDCAM cameras and they were excellent. Even waited one time for a fix as I was about to travel to EU with the gear. In the future I will look for a local repair shop, there must be one in Boston area. Maybe Rule does repairs on mirrorless cameras?
Sony Pro does have a repair facility in California that they don't really promote. Obviously it's pretty far from the people on the east coast but the service is much better and you don't have to worry about the upselling.
Camera came back yesterday overnight FedEx. Packing was excellent. Camera is spotless, and working as new. They replaced the button and dial.
Now I am putting all the gear together to sell with some extras. Thinning out my studios a bit, way to much gear for the work I am doing now. Keeping my older A1.
