I am having a problem signing in. I had been away from the Forum awhile. My password is always wrong, and I need to change it to get back in. This is happening all the time.I have been on the Forum for 15 years and never had this problem.

A PM to Fred appears to be in order.

I have been a member for many years, I had an issue logging in a few months back, no matter what I tried I was unable to get logged in or a password reset. I have resorted to joining again under a different user name, using a new email address (the system recognised my established email address, but wouldn't send it the password re-set info).
I have this issue related to autofill on iOS and iPadOS devices. On the desktop it works fine. For some reason when autofilling, it adds a character somewhere. If I go to my password manager and copy the password, and then manually paste it, it works fine, but autofilling causes the issue every single time.
This is the only site that it happens on, and it’s very frustrating.

Well having posted this I got an email to my latest address, that allowed me to reset a password on my original username, so all good again

Thank you! This got me in, and it also explained why my password manager was offering to update the password after it autofilled.
I only log in on macOS and this was on macOS 15.7.

It is my impression that this problem has popped up with the latest iPad OS. It appears to be specific to the way the password is presented to fredmiranda by the password manager.
I have not encountered this problem when logging into other sites using the password manager, so there appears to be something specific in the way fredmiranda handles passwords as well.
FWIW, happened to me this evening. I checked out my Passwords manager and found out there that for reasons known only to the electron gods, my username had gotten appended to my password… So, I entered the password correctly after deleting my username appended thereto. Tony

It is unclear to me if this is a normal behaviour of password managers (then it is an issue with the login process at fredmiranda) or if it is a bug in Mac OS,
It’s all settled. I suspect it was a combination of password manager and FM’s sign in page.My Username continued to be appended to the end of the password. I simply deleted that error, saved the resulting password (that was the correct one to begin with) and I’ve had no difficulty since I made that change. FWIW, I also went into Passwords, went to FM in the listing, and ensured that the password was correctly named. It was. I then made sure there were no other historical references to FM located in Password Manager, e.g., fredmiranda - there were not. All is well, so far. I’m on Tahoe, latest version.
