p.1 #1 · Dunking for Minnows and Picking off Dragons

This 'Greenie' was having a great time hunting while disguising himself as a pond reed the other day. They are so patient, and so fast.

Nice set Greg with the last sequence my favorites. Did it use the dragon fly as bait for a fish?

Good captures by you and Olympus, and the Greenie. Nice little snack for the Greenie. I have seen herons try to do the same thing.

Thanks, Morris. The Dragonfly was just part of his menu selection -- Sardines and Dragonfly Entree.

Thanks, Tony. Yep, it's a big mistake for a Dragonfly to perch within 'neck length' of a Greenie when fishing is a bit slow.

Hi Greg. I don't think I have seen a Green Heron grab a Dragonfly before. Very nice captures !

Thank you, John.
I've seen it several times, but normally Dragonflies seem to be wise enough to avoid landing within striking distance.
