Living in the country, these landmarks are most everywhere. Now many do NOT function but still stand.
This is a type of windmill I can live with!

This one is brand new, at a new building for a school - I suspect it is part demonstration, part science, and part of the energy supply for the building (lots of solar on the building).

Yes, I grew up in the midwest and even there we had them in farm country!
