The idea of a 28/1.7 with digital zoom is nice, but I would like to have the option of going a little wider if needed to about 20mm as I'm use to at least 24 mm coverage on my Nikon Z. Can anyone tell me from experience if any of the 0.7x converters are decent on this lens and if so, which would you'd recommend for it's 49mm filter thread? Thanks.
Interesting question. I know nothing about this, but if available, and of good quality it would certainly add versatility. I own and use both the 28 and 50 (equivalent) converters on the Fuji X100iv, and they are both very convenient and excellent. I find it almost as quick, and more convenient, to add the 28mm to the Fuji (no concern about where to put the original lens) as it would be to change lenses.
A 20mm or even a 24mm converter for the Q3 could be a great asset for the Q3 if it were great quality and small.
You can use Ricoh GW-4 0.75x wide angle adapter with Q3. It is the best option. I had a post about it, but I cannot find it. You had to stop to f8 for best corners. Infinity corners might not be the sharpest, but it works. Although it is for apc sensor, it can even be used with GFX100RF camera. Adapter has 49mm filter thread so it just screws in to the lens.
