Zoar Valley is a 2,978 acre multi-use area and one of the most scenic and ecologically diverse environmental locations in Western New York. It's only about 20 minutes from my house. I spent my youth hiking all over this area but somehow missed this spot which my son told me about a few days ago. I had intentions of hiking the 3.5 mile loop trail around the pond but when I got to this beautiful wildflower meadow I spent the next 3 hours slowly walking back and forth, catching subjects wherever I could. Thanks for taking a look !

I have said it before, each post gets better and better. Looks like a great place Gary. So many wonderful images. My long list of favorites # 2,5,7,8,11,13 15 & 16. Honestly they are all beautiful in their own way.
Wonderful work Gary!
#13 has a surreal look to the processing.
#1 is a bit too strong for me on greens, any chance you can pull down the sky highlights and put some drama in it?
#2 rocks!
#3 without the bee for me
#4 I think has a better comp to be had
#6 is nicely presented, great comp!
#15 is beautiful
Lots go tedious focus work here and all really look great
Time well spent Gary even if you did not take the hike you intended. That will come in time yet your photos are a delight to view. I love your intro landscape and all these wonderful close-up images.

Thanks very much John. I guess it's a matter of just getting more comfortable with this new system and trying to work within its limitations.

That first landscape was more just a snapshot. I tried pulling the highlights already it was just a bad exposure on my part at capture. Would have been a good opportunity to try out the in camera ND filter but I didn't think of it at the time.
Sorry, I like the bee
I agree, that comp is too centered in #4
I was surprised at the results from #13. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary in processing. Must have just been how the light was hitting it at the time.
Always great feedback Karl. Much appreciated !
