Anyone know Oliver Collier username thebigimage. I returned an item requiring a signature and apparently he wasn’t home to sign for the package so it’s sitting at the PO. I got a message stating if the package isn’t retrieved it would be sent back to me. I’d like to put an end to this situation asap. This whole transaction started back July 22. Last message I got was August 1.

Now what is the real issue here? Have you been a victim of fraud? Need a bit more context here.
PM Fred if you feel you have been defrauded!

I'm not saying fraud just yet. The camera I purchased was misrepresented. The seller gave permission to return the camera which I did with signature required. The seller must not have been at home so the PO took it back with them and now require him to go retrieve it ( most of us know this routine with signature required ). The seller has great feedback with the exception of one transaction where the buyer wasn't happy with the condition of the gear they purchased--sounds about like my transaction. I also sent a message through PayPal in hopes he would respond there. I'm just wondering if anyone knows this guy personally and can explain why no return messages, and the package still at the PO. Also, the PO will return the package soon if he doesn't go retrieve it. Meaning a round trip back to him so I can get my refund.
I have all communication, and photos of the camera when it was here showing it's condition. The ad stated the camera had no scratches and it definitely had plenty of scratches ( his photos were small/low res so you couldn't see the scratches ).

Good response. Gives members a better idea as to the circumstances. I would PM Fred and make him aware of this. He will choose whether to act upon it or not. Some members love "yanking people's chain" for whatever reason..not gud IMHO!
Good luck and keep everyone informed of the "activity".

There was a reply by the seller finally. He had an excuse I won’t divulge. But, he has retrieved the package from the PO and still no refund. PayPal is aware as is Fred. Kind of a bummer. This wouldn’t be happening if the camera was represented correctly—I would have passed on it then.

Thanks for keeping everyone up to date.
Yes a bummer is putting it mildly IMHO! To me there is NO excuse! It is called business courtesy and ethics. Actually "courtesy" period!! Business aside!
Let us know if all goes well.
Thanks!

Makes one rethink. I trusted his feedback that he was being honest about the description of his camera. This is something I don’t do on eBay and insist the seller disclose all and any flaws or issues with what ever I’m buying there. I didn’t think I had to do that here especially with a seller being a professional photographer and sharing a link to their website. Seller has mostly great feedback. It’s been a few days since he picked up his camera at the post office and yet no refund.
I believe I am at a point where I will "donate" any eqpt to the local high school and take a tax write off! I have donated cameras to members children here but many "higher priced" eqpt not so much.
