I was photographing this Long Billed Dowitcher at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. I've wanted to photograph one in flight for a long time so I set up and waited with pre-shoot on. I waited and waited and it did not fly so I toggled pre-shoot off and as soon as I did that it blasted off. As I was about to take my camera off the tripod I had to rush my hands back into shooting position and the first two frames were meh yet the third is the one I'm presenting.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris

Well, now I know what a Dunlin looks like...thanks Morris, heh. Kidding aside, I can't tell you how many times nature has thumbed its nose at me as I waited it out, finally give up and start packing only to have the shot I was waiting for show up when I can't do a darn thing about it. You did good to catch what you did get, heh.

Thank you Eric,
Well this is a Long Billed Dowitcher. Dunlin are very similar to yellow legs yet there legs are not yellow. I've posted many photos of them.
