Has anyone located a glass screen protector for the Om-3 that allows the back screen to properly close. When I originally looked for one I saw post that said the glass was too thick and caused problems. I went ahead an order a film protector and it does work but gets scuffed up unlike the glass options.
I am looking for suggestions from anyone who has an OM-3.
I no longer have the OM-3 but put one of these on it and it worked perfectly. Get the crystal clear (correct link above) and not the glass - the glass is too thick.
FWIW - The Expert shield crystal clear protectors also work great on my OM1.2, OM5.2 and Pen-F.
In my research (and purchases) there are no glass options that allow the LCD to fold in 100% - they are all too thick.
I have had good success with the expert shield but that is my own experience and I don’t know what your LCD gets exposed to. I have small marks on mine and some very thin, short scratches but I mostly use the LCD for the SCP and the EVF for composition. Even so, the marks on the film do not hinder my ability to MF using the LCD when shooting my 60mm macro on a macro rail.
FYI - each Expert Shield pack contains 2 films. I don’t mind
A friend who recently purchased the OM-1 II was over and suggested I install a different screen protector since I was unhappy with mine and he was happy with his.
Installed the Kinakoo ultrathin glass protector and it seems like a much better choice (for me anyway). The back closes fine.
