Been watching this nest for some time and had almost given up on the nest being productive. And finally one chick shows up, born quite late judging by other near by nests, so sure hope the chick survives. It growing getting larger by the day almost so my hopes are that it will fly, and learn to hunt before the parents head south for the winter. Here's a few shots taken over the past week or so.
Fabulous Louie, between these, your ridiculously good pileated woodies and what we else seems to. call your home theirs all just so special and a treat to see.

Very much appreciate your comments Eric, thank you. This nest has been very special this season being so close and producing a chick, it's been a lot of fun visiting it and getting the photo opportunities. My backyard is alive with woodpeckers most of the year but this year has been somewhat special, they're here everyday. Thanks again Eric.
