I want to pass this along in case anyone is interested. Yesterday I saw someone post that B&H had Provia in 4x5 but I missed when I tried to order. Today, I found it at Badger Graphic Sales.
I really wish Fuji would explain WTF is going on with this. Given that these drops have kept coming for years now I really doubt the rumors that production ceased and they're just doling out frozen 'New Old Stock'. But it also doesn't seem to make sense that, if it's profitable enough that it makes sense to keep producing it at all, it wouldn't be *more* profitable to produce somewhat more (though surely not as much as 30 years ago, of course) so that it doesn't pop up *this* seldom and sell out *this* fast.
Yes, it's frustrating but I will take what I can get. I've got some in 120 on order from Adorama for about 8 months. I still think it's worth it to wait for it and at least people seem to be getting it when they buy on back order.
I *STILL* don't understand why all the film producers do not make annual run of film from the pledged, or firm upfront purchases from the people.
I believe Ilford used to do this, and may still do so?, with the ULF production runs.
Fuji, bring back the peel apart 4x5 color films, I need some!
That was fun.
I still have all my Sinar F2 gear.

Ilford still does ULF runs and it’s one of the best ways to both engage with your customers and keep them loyal.
