Since I’m putting together sets of four photographs for another project, I thought I might share a few of the sets here on FM. These photographs focus on details of walls in Italy — in this set there are photographs from Siena, Bologna, and Orvieto.

Enjoy!

I like the concept of the project Dan. I am looking forward to the next 4. The soft lighting makes these feel like paintings.

Thanks. I'm a _huge_ fan of photographing in soft light!

Yes most excellent compositions Dan! A book on the horizon maybe?
The use of soft light here is magnificient Dan! The division between light and dark becomes gradual and even. Allows the eye to absorb the delicacy of the image.
Well done!
Dan
PS a book? Let me know please.

Thank you both for your comments. :-)

While I’ll photograph in just about any light that works with my subject, I do have a special affinity for soft light — shadows, early morning, late evening.

I’ve considered a self-published book for some time, though I was thinking of something connected to my landscape photography. I’ll have to ponder the potential for something similar focusing on urban/travel/street subjects.
