Last November, I was lucky enough to secure a lodge reservation for Havasupai. On a cold morning, I hiked into the canyon with five non-photographers. The hike in was long but manageable; the hike out was brutal. Our trip was only a month after the devastating floods that, unfortunately, claimed some lives, and there was debris all over the main falls. Despite this, the area was spectacular, and the water's colors were unreal. My only regret was hiking to Beaver Falls but not taking the ladder to go down. The last part of the trail required climbing down a ladder, and I was so exhausted that I wasn't sure I could make it back up with my camera backpack. Ultimately, I decided to photograph the falls from the top. In hindsight, I think I could've made it, but my mind and body just weren't in agreement.
Here are a few images from my visit. Thanks for viewing and welcome all CC

Fifty Foot Falls - this was very difficult to access as there was lots of debry and no real trail.
OMG ! what an amazing location Very nice set here, love the shutter speed you used. Photographing falls is always challenging as I struggle with shutter speed. Just researched this location and it's really hard to get permits! Thanks for sharing this set.
Frank, appreciate your kind words but I am just an ordinary guy who once in a while gets a right image. Many on this form have helped me in my photography journey. 👍🏻

I know, I bookmark threads for future reference for upcoming trips. FM and it's photographers are a great resource.

Lovely set, Parul, you caught that reflection beautifully, and the processing is great.
Thanks Ross, the reflection shot happens to be my favorite too. I am happy to hear the PP worked well here.

Great set. My wife wants to go there...We always seem to be late for the passes..

Joel, Thank you. You definitely need to fulfill her wish..... that's what we do The best way to do it to register with the website and then look for people who are cancelling. I am not a camping guy but I see that there are permits available for camping. Lodging is hard and pure luck. I had selected 3 date slots and was lucky to get 3 rooms for November. Weather was perfect. Good luck

Yes, the location is just stunning and there are so many streams and small falls one can photograph. I just didn't have time and going with non photographers friends tied me down a bit. We had a great time.

I am experiencing a shortage of words for just how beautiful these are, found it easier to hit the VOTE BUTTON
Beautiful work and rewards for your efforts, WOW
Thanks Peire, it's an incredible location. So many opportunities to make some cool images but when travelling with a group on non photographers, one has to go with the flow. Nevertheless, I was happy with what I was able to capture.

collection of really great images. I bet you had great hikes.. Congrats.
Thanks for showing
@nugeny thank you very much. It was a long hike going in but coming back up the final stretch up was brutal but I did it very slow and took multiple breaks. We started our hike out from lodge at 5:30am and it took me about 4.5 hours with breaks. The place is spectacular.

Just about every day I read about hikers/climbers here in Colorado who chose to go on and not listen to their mind and body. Most times they have to be airlifted off our peaks. Good for you for listening and making a wise choice.
On to your images....I've seen hundreds of pictures of Havasupai and rarely do they give a new, and refreshing perspective - but you succeeded in spades! Your images are fresh and they create the sense of wonder in ways few others have done. Image #3 is my favorite...the person creates scale that adds to the sense of wonder.
