I wanted to buy a low profile lens foot for my RF 100-300mm f2.8 lens from 4GDPhoto (the makers of the mongoose gimbal) but when I try their website (4GDPhoto.com) I get a warning/blocked of expired security certificate. I tried to find if they were still in business, but have come up empty. Anyone out there know if they are still around? Thanks.

I think 4GD has been bust for a while. I have a couple of their older feet.
Lately I am using the Wimberley feet for the big Canon teles. They are rock solid and relatively low profile (unlike the RRS clunkers), and they fit the RRS clamps if you care about that.

Looks like a homemade website from the 1990s. If you ignore the security certificate warning, it still works fine and they appear to be in business. They're probably too busy with their physical business to diddle their computers and should contract a webmaster to maintain their site.

Hejnar makes some nice lens feet. I replaced a RRS foot on my EF 600 mk2 with a Hejnar foot. That foot works much better for handheld shooting.

FYI No idea if they’re still in biz but here’s my last contact info.

I also PMd the email for Walter Zeiss, John’s son, since my reply hid the email address.
