p.1 #1 · Bee On Approach

This was taken with an R5 and RF100-500. I had some good luck today and caught a bee in flight that I am actually happy with. I am also trying to determine if I really 'need' a macro lens, lol. With a dedicated macro I feel I would get larger than life shots though.

Considering the RF100 f2.8 L Macro and the EF 180 f3.5 L Macro. I am concerned about the slow focusing ability of the EF 180 vs the newer RF 100. I realize most macro photography is done manually and I could flip the distance switch to counter that issue.

Well done Leah. For this type of subject a long lens works well

Thanks, Morris. I think I am just 'needing' another lens, lol. Maybe I suffer from GAS.

If the results are any indication, I'd agree with your assessment about having GAS, Leah!
