At first, I thought the same thing and contacted several friends who use Nikon, as well as a friend who is a brand ambassador, and they helped me set up the camera.
However, in critical moments of action or low light, the Nikon's effectiveness was much lower than the Sony's. I spent a month testing this cameras, so my thoughts are based on this experience.
