On my recent photography trip to Vancouver Island, I also flew the Mavic 3 Pro and my new Mavic 4 Pro. Both performed very well, but the Mavic 4 Pro's new camera system is definitely the new "king of the hill" for prosumer drones. I purchased mine in Canada at a very good price. I don't think I can keep both, so the Mavic 3 Pro will likely be sold soon. All of these were taken either near Ucluelet (Mavic 3 Pro shots) or Tofino (Mavic 4 Pro).

I did not and essentially took my chances. I stayed away from people and tried to use it with consideration for others. The trip was impromptu and didn’t allow time to apply.

I believe you can fly a drone around ucluelet but that’s about it. You definitely need permission to fly within the National Park as well as around Tofino.
a park ranger with sepaqi informed me that np park manager does not provide authorization to fly inside np unless it's for marketing 7 advertisement purpose.
he also informed the max fine in park canada, which is a separate entity from sepaq, is $50K.
