Most Ruby-throated hummingbirds pass through the New York Metro area on there way north in the spring and then return and spend some time in the fall. Apparently a few have found a nice spot on Long Island to spend the summer. A friend told me about the spot and it was a joy to see and photograph them. I'm featuring one individual from the first two visits I saw it make to feed on the the red beabomb.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
