It seems like a good idea, can you export settings? When you send a camera to CPS for maintenance, you lose your settings. I'd like to export the settings before sending to CPS so I can add them back once the camera is returned to me.

SPT should be able to do it. The question is if you think that $175 is worth it.
Tornado EOS is cheaper, but ask the developer first if it is possible.

Man, would be a good option in the EOS utilities for all cameras.
Or just automatically save a backup file to the SD card every Nth shutdown. I'm sure the file itself is tiny and wouldn't take long to do.
