So, you may already know this, but with manual focus lenses, the A9iii is not restricted to 15 fps because there is no continuous AF dependency (obviously). With other third-party AF lenses, you will be capped at 15 fps.
I was surprised to find out my Voigtlander lenses can shoot the max 120 fps with the A9iii. This is probably the same for the other A9 and A1 bodies.
It never crossed my mind since I never imagined I'd be using high burst rates with a manual focus lens, but I just acquired the Voigtlander 50 F1.0 and was thinking about doing a psuedo (not macro) focus stack (aka spray and pray for an in-focus shallow DOF shot) using what I thought would be a max of 15 fps, so I stuck the lens on the A9iii and toggled the C5 button to see what it would do and voila, 120 fps!

Nice find! I’ve done similar things to fake having a macro rail- just do burst shooting as a slowly get closer to the macro subject, and then pay for good results focus stacking. It’s nice to have other uses for the high capture rate outside of action/sports
