p.1 #1 · Best time in April to visit southern Patagonia?
Hello everyone:
I thought this would be a good place (Landscape Forum) to solicit opinions on timing for visiting southern Patagonia.
I have been to Chile twice now, but never got further south than near the end of the Carretera Austral (Cochrane). I am in the planning stages of figuring out another trip. This will be a combination backpacking/photography trip that will include areas of Tierra del Fuego primarily, but also (hopefully) up to El Chalten/Fitz Roy. [Torres del Paine also, if time permits]
What are peoples' experiences about the best time in April to catch the fall colors in and around around Fitz Roy?
I imagine there will be many photography workshops around that time, too, nowadays - but after the crowds here in Glacier, I think I can deal with that.
