This reminds me of an old porcelin encrusted iron pot that my mother used to make her Italian "gravy". Spaghetti sauce to novices. It sat for at least a day on a slow simmer..mmmmm good!

Seemed like a nice contrast of tones and textures, and shame on the factory for sending out a lid with the wording on the knob not at the same angle as the lid... I'll fix the thing next time I have it out for some Sunday gravy...
