Rhubarb is getting scarce and kind of witty, but chopped with some strawberries and some syrupy juices on a cake are good, or in a freshly baked pie with flaky crust and a scoop of ice cream...
Nice image evokes memories of when I was a kid in elementary school. Used to cut through some woods on my walk there. Wild rhubarb grew in abundance and used to pick it and eat it on the way. What was I thinking
I lived in Iowa as a kid and rhubarb was a staple!
My mother made rhubarb pies! Tart and delicious! It is still my most favorite of pies. I do have to go to the Amish Country of Lancaster, Pa. To buy them.
We grew rhubarb in our home gardens for many many years even after moving to Mary-land in 1958.

Also, just as a sauce, which for most of my life is the only way I knew it! I've got 2 varieties, a red and a green variety. The green is VERY tart!
Nice rendering, by the way, "Mich"!
ICE CREAM? Have you a recipe?

Harold
Had to look up the word Harold. Non humans probably can eat them without repercussions.
I had a science professor tell the class in college that apple seeds contain arsenic. If you eat the entire apple core, over time the human body will grow resistant to arsenic poising. I wasn't about to prove him right or wrong.
Thanks Harold!
