p.3 #1 · Super Multi Coated | Takumar Lenses | Images Thread

It's good to see this thread active again.

First is with S-M-C Takumar 50mm f/1.4 @ f/1.4
Second with 150mm f/4 @f/8. Both with Zf.

p.3 #3 · Super Multi Coated | Takumar Lenses | Images Thread

This thread is only about SMC Takumar lenses? I ask because I have 5 Takumar lenses but none have the SMC designation. All pre-date any of the super multi-coated versions. Two are simply labeled Takumar, my Takumar 135 f3.5 and my Takumar 200 f3.5. These two I purchased, the first from B&H and the second off of Ebay. I bought the 200 primarily because of its 18 aperture blades which sounded insane. I bought these after realizing the three I inherited from my father could be adapted to my Z50 II. So, I got this Fotasy m42 to z adapter that has a helicoid feature that allows me to focus a lot closer than these lenses natively allow. Which is key for me because they all have pretty long minimum focusing distances especially the 200 at 2.5m. The three I inherited are all Super-Takumars: 28 f3.5, 50 f1.4 (7 element, radioactive), and 105 f2.8. The 105 and 135 are so small for their focal lengths but the 200 is pretty much a beast to use on my Z50 II. Long and heavy. All work very well on my Z50 II so much so I am leaning toward getting the Zf so I could use these with their native field of view and use the Zf's grain feature. I love the look of the 135 with its chrome and black pattern so much so I have thought about getting the 55 Zebra with its striped metal barrel. The connection to my dad raises the level of my obsession with these lenses up a significant notch. I may also get the 8 element 50 as I am pretty reluctant to use my radioactive version.

I'd say its for any Takumar lens .... SMC or Not.

I use my 50 1.4 (7Element) | 85 1.8 | 105 2.8 on the ZF or Z5II and absolutely enjoy using them.
