p.1 #2 · New OpticColor 200 medium format colour neg film
Looks interesting, but just checked out buying the film. $12 a roll which is OK but $17 shipping via DHL is not going to happen for me. Price is the same for shipping 10 rolls, but what do Ibdo with 9 rolls if I don’t like it?
This brand-new emulsion developed by our professional partner in Germany
It seems to be the same film made by Orwo - NC200 - but w/o an anti-halation coating.
Not sure if it has the green film base like NC200, or orange like OptiColor.

I kind of like the look - more contrast overall and a bit of color contrast baked in with cool shadows, warmer highlights. Might give it a try when they release the final production version (not too keen on fat rolls and those color blobs of the pre-production version, but kudos for being transparent about it)

Seems like ISO 100 is a reasonable speed for this film, which is the same ISO that I use for Portra 160. Ten rolls of 160 via B&H is $120 shipped. Ektar 100: $110. Opticolor 200: $120 + $17=$137.
The bottom line for me is that emulsion issues must be gone and this must be a look that I like, which it certainly is, but I also like Ektar for a similar look… at a bit slower speed.
