A few film transparancies self developed negatives from America's 200th Birthday from the Baltimore Inner Harbor Parade of the Tall Ships.
The masted vessel, #2, is about to sail under the exact place where a cargo ship crashed into the Outer Harbor bridghe and destroying it and killing some people working on the bridge.

The USS Torsk-#423 is in the right frame-Commissioned for the United States Navy on December 16, 1944, the USS Torsk was the only submarine out of its Tench Class fleet of ten to see service during World War II.

Even nicer to have been there! The "parade" of the sailed ships was amazing! The Baltimore Inner harbor was just filled with them from all over the World.

Sorry the pictures are so crappy!
Thanks!
Dan

Thank you Steve!
The Operation Sail event was just wonderful to attend and photograph. Too bad my photography was so crappy! I posted these more as an "event showing" versus good photography.

I was using a Canon AE-1 and 50mm lens.
Thanks again!
Dan

You are being too kind brother!
The first 2 are crap but I liked just to see masted vessels sailing under the Outer Harbor bridge that was destroyed 2 years ago and has to be rebuilt.

The 3rd one is ok..sort of a vinatge look?
Thanks for stopping by!
Dan

That's what makes them all so neat Dan, the last one is great, wish you had the whole ship in the pix even tho you wanted the sub in it.

I have it Bill and many more from when the ships were docked. The sub was not planned to be in the shot.
Yes the last one was very pleasing to me...The old Baltimore Gas and Electric power plant was still working then(big stacks). It is now a Hard Rock Cafe.

I will get one posted for ya!
Dan

Today...

USS Constellation Has been docked at the Inner Harbor for 50 years.
