For anyone able to analyse the two profiles, what is the difference between them? I'm surprised that they changed an existing profile other than to make it more compatible with some other part of the Lightroom workflow.

Thanks for getting the profile from the 14.1 version.
14.1 was preliminary A1II support and my guess is it was just the A1 profile as theoretically that is all one should need as the sensor is identical. Then for some odd reason Adobe went and tweaked the Adobe Color profile in 14.2 and made it so bad.

Yes adobe must have made a mistake a qualified member of the adobe forum has analysed the DCP files and the result is clear adobe made a wrong manipulation on the profile of the Sony A1 II. anyway the sensor is identical to the Sony A1 so the preliminary profile is much better than the one currently provided on version 14.4.

Can I just import the profile that you linked to like we normally do, and will it automatically replace the one currently in 14.4?

It's very simple: you download my dcp file into my drive and replace the dcp in your Lightroom 14.4 version, and that's it. Then, when a new version of Lightroom is released (e.g. 14.6), you'll have to do the same thing I've just explained.

Just did it...
I had to go in to the folder and remove the 14.4 version (I just changed the name)... and then dragged the 14.1 in.
Then I restarted LR... and it works as expected.
Great job figuring that out
I saw everyone on FB giving you a hard time... but I totally understand why it was an issue.
If you routinely use those presets... and two diff cameras, it must have been very frustrating.
For people only using one camera... and no presets, it is easy to just use a diff starting point. Not for your workflow.

Yes, I'm an event photographer, so I have two cameras and I have contracts with locations and mood lighting that I've come to know over time. I've created my presets on the adobe color and standard profiles, so when I apply my presets on my a7iv it works perfectly, but on my A1 II I have to start all over again because the colorimetry is different with the adobe profiles and even Sony ST.
So for me it's a relief to save time with this solution and I hope it will help others even if many people find something negative to say.

Because they couldn't understand why it was such a big deal...
They just said... start with a different profile.
His presets default to to Adobe Color, so as he soon as he hit the preset button... everything was off as compared to his previous edits using A7IV, and his prior edits using A1II (and older profile).

Just changing the Adobe Standard profile (like we did) obviously effects the Adobe Color too?? There's no separate one for Adobe Color??

If I'm not mistaken, the standard adobe Dcp file contains all the adobe landscape colors etc... on Lr 14.4, no matter what adobe profile I used, I had completely wrong colors, not anymore.

Well, yes. Adobe Standard just applies the vanilla profile for the camera to get to a common baseline. Other profiles apply a twist to that. Or that’s how it used to be. It may have changed with the emergence of the adaptive profiles.

Thanks… that’s what I’m seeing now. Just changed the Adobe Standard… and all affected.
