How can I get some compatibilty of my U.2 drives with the MAC computers?
Typically you can use a backplane or short adapter to any PCIe x4 slot (and power) in a real computer where they are just like any other NVMe drive that can be accessed Linux or Windows 10/11. But what can I do to use them on a MAC when I'm traveling to those people and want to bring the data? I'm most likely looking at two 30.72TB SSDs since the 61.44TB are rather expensive.

OWC appear to have a (rather bulky) solution in the Helios 3 + shuttle. The 1st pic in the link shows the Helios plugged into a Mac with the shuttle that accepts the U.2 next to it

Extrenals for Apple are mostly clunky, so that's no surprise. There is the case, power supply and tray.
I would hope they upgrade to a faster PCIe bus than 3.x, but it will do. I see no indication that any special software is needed, so that is a good sign.

Have you tried it? I could buy one set but I don't have any MacOS computers to test with. I'd want to send that setup to the destination ahead of time.

I don't use U.2 drives but I remembered OWC had a solution from when I looked at them some time ago (wanting to expand my SSDD capacity).
