How do these two compare? I read Fred’s excellent review of the 50/2.2, and looked at his comparison with the 50mm rigid, but I am presuming that the Leica version 4 is a more modern lens, and perhaps sharper in the midfield. I am more than happy with the IQ of my Summicron 50 v 4, but I would prefer a shorter lens, that would fit in my hip pouch. The 50/2.2 would.
How much would I lose in focus isolation moving from f2 to f2.2? Almost nothing I imagine.
