Hey folks.
I just picked up a 1Dx mk2 with 189k from Used Photo Pro(robert's camera).
When I first got it the switch for selecting still/movie was really sensitive when it was in movie mode. A very light touch would switch it over to photo mode. I had to be very careful pressing it to start recording or it would switch. The indexing function works and it makes a nice solid click but it would change modes before it even reached the point to click.
Now that I have at home, it seems to be perfectly fine.
Any thoughts on what I can expect from this?
Can I expect this to get worse and I should just return it now?
The only thing I can think is maybe there was a little bit of corrosion on the switch and using it cleaned it off. Obviously that kind of thing would get worse. I couldn't find anybody else with this problem.
I would call UPP and talk to them about how it was acting and ask them what they can do to help. They would aiso know you had a problem before warranty is up.
I called them earlier, but they were closed already. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.
