Great job tracking! What fps are you using?
I'd enjoy seeing one of your favorite frames fully processed from these cool burst.
I shoot flying owls at 40fps. Animated gifs play at 10fps.
I will add some full frames as well as sequences - it's been a good evening, and owl season is over any day now... But I have a different event to run to right now. Retirement is hard

Sweet!
And yeah, I see you've been suffering terribly in retirement.
I had a fun encounter at an Osprey nest today. I stopped by during a break in the rain to see if any Ospreys still were present, and one of this year's Ospreys was at the nest. It chirped for Dad, who showed up with a fish, but only for itself. The younger Osprey then flew off to hunt for itself.
Here, Chewy and Squinty are fighting / playing at their favorite hangout spot, Squinty loses his footing and falls out, recovers smoothly and flies to a different perch. The R1 recovered by itself pretty quickly, losing tracking only briefly when it switched from Chewy (upper wing in nest) to Squinty (flying off).

Hahaha! Look closely where it looks like Squinty loses his footing.
He actually didn't. His evil sibling grabbed his wing just as he was jumping over to another spot.
Now THAT is what capturing the moment is all about!
Love these GIF images. They are mesmerizing.
