Thank you! I took this one while traveling the Bretagne over the last couple of days, so not much time composing it. I made a conscious decision in post to involve the flowers on the left because I like them. But funny enough, I also tried to make it symmetrical in post processing until I realized that the house (probably due to it‘s age) has severe problems with symmetry
This is a really fine composition "z"!! The house, the vibrant flowers and yes the "grumpy ole man" are wonderful! The stoneware "bowls" lodged in the left(our left) window are great!
This is a really fine composition!

Great pic. Something timeless about it!
Thanks to you too! By the way, if you translate my username from German to English, it means... "timeless." So I'm especially pleased that the picture conveys that ha

Whoa, very cool! In another universe, I must speak German. My brain must've pulled that in subconsciously! haha

great expression, always fun to see portraits with the context of their natural environment/habitat!
Thank you!
Yes, I feel the same way. I find it fascinating when things are authentic. This gentleman has a very peculiar look. The severity of his gaze contrasts somehow (at first sight?) with his flower-power house (Apart from the iron bars on the windows).
