Super series of images... I really like the one with the oversized fish that the loon is trying to choke down.

My favorite bird!!!! Gorgeous shots. Have you seen any chicks yet? I am up in the Adirondacks and these goofy little waterfowls are a staple.

Thanks Daniel. Unfortunately no chicks,I think these guys just stopped and rested up a couple of days on their way somewhere else.

Awesome set, John. IMO the low angle that you achieved is requisite for a good loon image. It really gives a feeling of intimacy with the subject. Nicely done.

Looks like there’s gonna be a shortage of Bluegills this year John the way these guys are packing them away. These are fantastic shots. The last one with the wings spread… superb.
