6 straight days of rain and now the sun is out and the humidity is at 85%! Stiffling for me!
I ran over to my water lily suppliers acres of water lilies to grab a few shots before the thunderstorms get here later..

Nive captures, Dan.
I wouldn't have guessed that the first one (my favorite) was a water lily.
Eighty-five percent humidity reminds me of my Navy time in Guam. Enjoy the steam bath!

Well I can relate to my 2 years in Vietnam, 1967-1969. That is where I first heard the phrase "air you can wear".
Thanks for your service!
Both my parents were Navy in WWII. Dad was in the South Pacific.
Thanks!
Dan
Beautiful, Dan! That first one looks like an Iris, but I have seen them amongst the "water" flowers, I didn't realize they are also called waterlilies. Thanks for the info.
Stay cool

I lived in S. Oregon for 2 years Greg. Grants Pass/Murphy area not far from Bill Gass. I worked at Crater Lake for the NPS as a radio repairman to fund my college. I enjoyed S. Oregon and N. Cal(Mt Shasta area). I like the change in seasons. Yes this area did have them.
Then I was drafted!!! The rest is history.
Thank You!

I agree about the resemblence Carol. I had to inquire to the owner about that same question. He told me it is indeed a dual species. The water is blurred by the lens so you really dont get a good picture of it rising in the water. I believe I have some other pics of a more clear view of the water.
Thanks Carol!

It is BRUTAL here today Carol!!! Humidity is at 80% at 10am. We have had a week of rain and more to come thru today. Temps to be in the high 90's.
As I say, it is air you can wear!

YES Larry ALL handheld!!! Does it show? Reason I ask is that I have hand tremors and trying to steady the camera for a shot can start them shaking..sometimes so bad I just have to stop.
I bought a Fuji 100s ii and with its internal IBIS and a lenses IS it is not noticable. Yes I must up my ISO.
Thank You!
Dan
Dan,
Actually, the images would suggest you might have used a tripod. They are all quite crispy. I see zero indication of motion blur. But that does bring up another question...."how were you able to get bent down so far as to see in the viewfinder?"
