A couple of years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Iceland in the summer. It truly is a photographer's paradise, with stunning scenery around every corner. I spent three nights in Vik, exploring several breathtaking locations. I was incredibly lucky with the weather during my trip, though I did encounter some strong winds on a couple of evenings. As the saying goes, "if you get 50% good days on an Iceland trip then you have had a good trip!" By that measure, I was certainly fortunate, as my experience far exceeded that. Sharing a set of images from my stay in Vik, and I welcome all your comments and critiques.

Black beaches & lighthouse are fantastic!
Thank you very much. The black beach image was on day 1 of my visit and it was like 60KM winds and gusts upto 80. Glad you enjoyed viewing them.

Nice work. Thanks for the psych - we are going in September. Fingers crossed on the weather.
Thanks Jim, I hope you have a fantastic time and if Weather God gives you 50% then it's a good trip. Anything above that is just fantastic. During my visit I did a Highland all day tour and it was the best thing I ever did in Iceland. I stopped asking the tour guide to stop for pictures, I just tried to take in the views. What an amazing country!
