-1.0 EV in bright sun, I would be increasing the shutter instead. While the actual exif data in the jpgs themselves is missing the info provided in #3 indicates the lens was not racked (zoomed) much, being only 140mm. Was this cropped? If so then its technique to work on, ie zoom in to more closely fill the frame vs shooting wide and having to crop a bunch after the fact. If not cropped much, under these conditions I'd consider removing the TC.

* Was this cropped? - We discussed the FOV coming on crop sensor with stacked TC in another thread i posted. TC can be left out on crop sensor unless shooting small birds.
